“It (Krav Maga) has more self defence cred than any other system we know about – and we know quite a bit about the subject!”
Best in the World for self defence. It is totally practical, no flashy kicks or great spiritual angle.

Krav Maga taught at our school is recognised by the British Krav Maga Association. Our Krav Maga lineage originally came from Eyal Yanilov and Amon Darsa: both of whom trained directly under Imi Sde Or, the founder Krav Maga.
Our curricula was later influenced by Thierry Viatour and Jon Pascal (of Krav Maga Worldwide) through the military and civil Law Enforcement courses and more recently by Amit Porat of International Military Krav Maga, an IDF Military Krav Maga Instructor.
British Krav Maga has recognised minimum standards for qualified Instructors. British Krav Maga Instructors are required to hold a Black belt or have at least 3 years serious training before attempting Instructor certification. Instructors are expected to audition on Day 1 of Instructor training to commence training.
Certification is by way of a physically intense 18 day Graduate Instructor certification course delivered via two 9 day blocks, or a series of six, 3 day weekends.
British Krav Maga does not offer 5 day instructor courses.
No. Krav Maga is a great route to fitness for anyone. Krav is way more fun than gyms or fitness classes and our group ethos makes it far easier to get and stay motivated. You’ll notice a difference in as little as 3 weeks.
In 12 weeks you will wish you had started years ago.
We are professional instructors, safety is always the priority. Statistically, Krav Maga is safer than football, rugby or hockey. Small bumps and bruises are not uncommon, serious injury is.
Whilst all training carries a level of risk, the likelihood of serious injury doing Krav Maga is very low.
This depends on the threat. For the average person training twice a week, we would expect effective skills to deal with common situations after 12 weeks.
At a minimum of once a week. We reccomend twice a week for most. But the choice is yours.
Krav Maga does not use the Japanese belt system. We have levels, Practitioner levels for students, and Graduate levels for instructors. Students can grade in their club but this is regulated by the British Krav Maga Association to ensure quality standards. Some gradings are conducted
We have levels. Practitioner levels for students and Graduate levels for instructors. Students can grade in their club but this is regulated by the British Krav Maga Association to ensure quality standards. Some gradings are conducted in house, others by an external examiner sent by the Association.
Krav Maga is not an expensive activity. Training fees at British Krav Maga are usually on par with or lower than fitness classes. A 2 hr Krav Maga class will typically cost around £5 an hour outside of London. A comparable fitness class will typically be priced at £6-8 an hour.
Payment is collected by Direct Debit each month.
We offer professional coaching – if it is appropriate for you. You wont be pressurised to join us.
If training is right for you, you select the tariff that best suits your needs. We require a minimum commitment of 4 months training, becuase if you cant commit to regular attendance for 4 months there is little point starting the coaching process.
But remember, your first session is free and is a great opportunity to try Krav Maga out before you make a decision.
